The 7 Dwarfs and Dumbo

.
- Here, from Walt Disney Comics, April 1945 edition is a wacky story mixing the Seven Dwarfs with Dumbo to fight the Wicked Prince.
I couldn’t help but post it. These comic books often seem to mix up the characters from different films to create unbelievable stories.

This comic comes from Bill Peckmann‘s enormous collection, and I thank him for sharing, yet again.

They sure do. I have a post coming up on the comic where the dwarfs team up with Thumper from Bambi.

You have a super blog. Keep up the great posts.

Huh, in this “Disney universe” Dumbo (which is meant to be set in the present day) and Snow White and the 7 dwarves (which is meant to be set about 1600′s or 1700′s) actually meet and Dumbo has his own dialogue – I thought in the film he didn’t talk – but isn’t that just comics?

Writing and art by Carl Buettner.

Disney comics have always done pretty much whatever the hell they want. It’s their world, we just read about it.

I remember an annual which had a story with the Seven Dwarfs and Chip ‘n’ Dale.

I guess they did this sort of thing a bit in the shorts, with the likes of “Toby Tortoise Returns” and “Mickey’s Polo Team”.
