Natwick’s Mountain Dew
Grim Natwick animated a spot for Mountain Dew when he worked for Robert Lawrence Productions. This is a run cycle from the film that was assisted by Tissa David. All of the drawings, here, are Tissa’s clean-ups.

Thank you for posting this and all the other wonderful gems on your site!!! I REALLY enjoy them.
The thing in particular that I like about THIS cycle is the unique timing. I always would get this same feeling whenever viewing any of Dick Purdum’s animation. There’s this “different” kind of timing going on that you don’t see in any mainstream films out there.
Thanks again for all your posts. I wouldn’t be able to find these materials under any other venue that I know of.

I’ve seen Tissa scold people for not “knowing how to inbetween”.
How could anyone figure out these bizarre inbetweens?
Little wonder she became so proprietary about her ownanimation -such unspeakable subtlety even in something as goofy as this.
This is another great, great post. You know, plenty of schools charge tens of thousands of dollars and the student won’t get a fraction of these great lessons.
