Space Garbage Photo Sunday

- Just one photograph today sent my by my friend, Steven Fisher. It made me think about the news story this week about the amount of garbage floating in space, thanks to man. Now that’s the peril of the week.

As of June 21 2000, the agency counted 8,927 man-made objects in the great above and beyond; some are there more or less permanently. Of the total, 2,671 are satellites (working or not), 90 are space probes that have been launched out of Earth orbit, and 6096 are mere chunks of debris zooming around the third planet from the Sun.

There’s also 3.5 million tons of garbage creating a land mass in the Pacific Ocean which is twice the size of Texas.

To be honest, I think it’s a good thing.
Garbage ain’t gonna do nothing out in space.

They should start send it up there rather than let it stink up the Earth.

… Just hope we don’t get caught by the Intergalactic Council of Environmental Health…
